The pictures displayed here are part of a collection amassed over the period of a year, during which time various locations in the greater Salt Lake City area were documented. The view taken in this series slightly abstracts its subject matter in order to understand it in a more idealistic way. These pictures represent moments in which an archetype surfaced, or in other words, a brief glimpse of an imagined place that was previously hidden by context.

In addition to using photography as a means of exploring his surroundings, Jonathan also enjoys portraiture and architectural photography. He is always intensely interested in the crossover between architecture and photography and enjoys the simultaneous study of both mediums.
